Career to date

Hansi Hinterseer was a very successful alpine skier in the 70s and is today known as a pop/folk singer, television presenter and actor.

Hansi Hinterseer won a total of six World Cup slalom and giant slalom races between 1972 and 1975. In 1973 he won the world champion in giant slalom. At the 1974 World Champs in St. Moritz he won the silver medal in this discipline and also competed at the Winter Olympics. Since 1981 he has been a co-commentator at live ski transmissions for the Austrian public television station ORF, predominantly for slalom and giant slalom.

In 1994, Hansi Hinterseer began a highly successful career as a folk singer. He was awarded a Goldene Romy for his achievements as a show master in this genre in 1998. He is also well known as an actor and leading man in the "Da wo…" television series. In 2001, 2003 and 2006 he was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award.
